On April 5, 2009, Jeff Gordon scored his 82nd career win, which came at Texas Motor Speedway.
Gordon drove the 2009 National Guard GED Plus / DuPont Chevrolet to Victory Lane after starting 2nd and leading 105 laps.
This was Gordon’s 17th race at the track, and the win snapped a 47 race winless streak.
“You guys got me a win at Texas, I love you!” Gordon said to his team over the radio while performing burnouts.
The 2009 win at Texas Motor Speedway was also Gordon’s 10th and final victory with Steve Letarte as his crew chief.
Over the course of Gordon’s career, he notched 1 win, 9 Top 5s, 14 Top 10s, 2 poles and led 691 laps at Texas Motor Speedway.
